The IEPA is incorporated within the University of Cape Coast as an autonomous Institute that continues to train educational planners, leaders and administrators as well as support sector-wide activities in education in Ghana.

As a lead institute for educational planning, administration, management and leadership in the West African sub-region, the lEPA exists to generate and disseminate reliable educational information for capacity building and to inform educational policy formulation, planning and implementation.
